Associated Accessories

Effective with repairs completed on or after 8/8/2017, labor is covered for Associated Accessories warranty repairs on accessories that were originally purchased and installed by a GM dealer.

When warranty service is necessary on an Associated Accessory during the accessory’s warranty period, the dealer should contact the Associated Accessories Manufacturer to determine the correct repair solution. The manufacturer will provide, at no cost, under the terms of the warranty, the parts necessary to repair the accessory or a complete accessory replacement; as a result parts must not be claimed on a GM warranty transaction.

A warranty transaction may be submitted for dealer labor and an admin. allowance for processing the warranty repair as directed by the Associated Accessories manufacturer through GWM.

A ZREG transaction may be submitted for the labor time to perform an Associated Accessory warranty repair or replacement. The 3 C’s must be documented on the job card and include the name of the Associated Accessories Manufacturer, and Associated Accessories service part number or GM part number, if the manufacturer provides instruction to replace the complete assembly.

Select one of the following labor operations based on the actual labor time associated with the accessory repair or replacement:

  • Labor operation 0602608 – actual labor time is up to 0.3 hr
  • Labor operation 0602708 – actual labor time is .4 to .6 hr
  • Labor operation 0602808 – actual labor time is .7 to 1.0 hr
  • Labor operation 0602908 – actual labor time is 1.1 to 1.5 hr

The actual labor time is entered in the base labor field of the transaction, with up to $25.00 claimed in the net/admin allowance field. The Associated Accessory part number must be entered in the Reference Number field of the transaction. Because parts are provided by the Associated Accessories Manufacturer, they are not claimed on the transaction.

Claims may not be submitted when the accessory failure is the result of abuse or negligence, the accessory was not installed by a GM dealer, or the accessory was installed on a vehicle registered and operated outside of the US. Additionally, courtesy transportation is not covered.
