Warranty
Topics Covered
The most important and often misunderstood warranty topics will be the primary focus of this workshop. Topics are discussed, often times in an open forum, because we believe people learn better in a live interactive environment rather than web or computer based training.
Repair order documentation - It's not just about the 3 C's. GM has specific repair order documentation requirements that if not followed, can make a claim subject to chargeback.
Service Management Responsibilities - It’s not enough to simply sign your name to a repair order. Learn what service management must do to completely support self-authorization codes, add-on repairs, pyramid repairs and other programs that require service management approval.
Specific Programs - Does your dealership struggle with tire claims, GMPP claims, transportation claims, or paint claims? Many claims have very specific requirements that you must provide in order to get them paid.
Rejected Claims -Rejects are not fun and take up valuable time to correct. Learn how to minimize rejected claims by gaining a better understanding of why claims reject in
the first place.
Dealer Analysis Report - Understanding your D/A report and learning the warning signs is one of the most important things every service department must do in order to keep your warranty expense at an acceptable level.
Warranty Workbook - You'll also receive a comprehensive manual which provides common warranty topics from basic to advanced, including a section full of quick references for you to take back to the dealership! Many attendees tell us that the manual alone was worth the cost of the workshop.
