Column 1 (Message Code) - Each message code contains 3 characters, the first two positions of the code are alpha characters and the third is numeric. The message type is indicated by the first character of the code, such as:
A - Authorization
C - Claim/Condition
D - Dealer
L - Labor/LOP
M - Informational
P - Parts
R - Recall/Restriction
S - Special Services/Service Contract
T - Transportation
V - Vehicle/VIN

Column 2 (Description) - Describes the reason for the edit.

Column 3 (Corrective Action) - Provides the means to correct the message code edits.

Column 4 - 8 (Authorization) - The final columns indicate whether the message code may be authorized, or if the claim must be sent to your District Manager (DM) for authorization, or if it must be corrected at the dealer level.
- Request Authorization (RA) - This field identifies message codes that can be sent to your District Manager or Chrysler Service Contract for authorization.
- Dealer Self-Authorization (DSA or SD) - This field identifies message codes that can be self-authorized by DSA dealers.
